Prest v Petrodel Resources & Ors [2013] UKSC 34 (12 June 2013)

In the much anticipated judgment the Supreme Court took a third course in allowing the appeal of Yasmin Prest and found that properties owned by the Husband’s company Petrodel were held on trust for him. The court ordered the transfer of these to the Wife. The main judgment given by Lord Sumption analysed and defined the law on piercing the corporate veil.
